STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Kinsey Gomez closed out the nigh with an incredible performance in the women’s 10k, setting a new school record as Idaho opened up competition at the Stanford Track and Field Invitational. Several other Vandals competed against a stacked field at Stanford, showing some impressive marks across the board.
Gomez took third overall in the 10k, completing the race with a personal-best time of 33:23.59, just eight seconds off the pace of the winner. Gomez shattered the previous school record of 33:34.85, set by Patsy Sharples during the 1981 season.
