LEWISTON, Idaho – The first spring scrimmage is in the books and the numbers are impressive for the University of Idaho Vandals – particularly on offense where they netted 1,121 yards during the session at Lewiston High School that lasted just over two hours.

Sophomore quarterback Jake Luton took a majority of the snaps and completed 36 of 64 attempts for 571 yards and seven touchdowns. He used a dozen players – some receivers, some tight ends and some running backs, to reach those totals. Two seniors – Callen Hightower and Deon Watson, were the leaders. Hightower had 11 catches for 180 yards with Watson, a dual threat receiver/tight end, had 10 for 199.
