OGDEN, Utah— After helping the Vandals to a 2-0 start in Big Sky Conference play, senior Mikayla Ferenz has been named Big Sky Ready Nutrition Player of the Week as announced by the league office Wednesday morning.
The Walla Walla, Wash. native, captured the weekly conference honor after being recognized nationally by College Sports Madness as mid-major conference player of the week on Monday. Today's recognition records her second player of the week honor this season and seventh in her career.
Ferenz helped the Vandals to two road wins, highlight by a win over in-state foe Idaho State in the ICCU Battle of the Domes series Saturday afternoon to tip off the conference season.
