Seattle, Wash. – The first day of competition concluded earlier today at the 2016 UW Indoor Invitational with a handful of Vandal athletes getting started.
The first few events, including the Heptathlon were under way showcasing the talents of Drew Thompson and Ian Middleton who are competing in the Heptathlon, which includes seven events over the course of the two days.
Thompson set career marks in both the shotput, 11.72m, and the high jump which he tied for first place with a clearance of 2.03m.
Senior Ben Ayesu-Attah finished 10th overall in the men’s 200m.
