LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Idaho wrapped up competition in Southern California on Saturday. The Vandals were tremendously successful on the weekend with a number of Big Sky Championship qualifiers and personal-bests set.
At the Long Beach Invitational, Matt Sullivan cleared 5.03 meters in the pole vault, taking eighth. The height qualifies him for the Big Sky Championships and is the second best of the year in the conference.
Arphaxad Carroll outdid himself again, going 7.44 meters in the long jump and finishing sixth. Carroll already had the top jump of the year in the conference, set on Thursday, and now has the eighth best jump in Idaho history.
