SZUZHOU, China – It was an all-out grind for Idaho in its final game of the summer but the Vandals came up just short in the end, falling to the Chinese National Team, 102-94, in overtime.
The Vandals were justifiably gassed after playing their third game in as many nights, and eighth game in 10 days overall. The team came out hot, taking a 38-35 advantage into the half, but China slowly battled back over the final 20 minutes to level the score and force the overtime.
China would take over in the extra frame, outscoring the Vandals 20-12 to earn the win.
