Beyer Competes at Nationals

CLOVIS, Calif. – Freshman Austin Beyer took no time off from competition this summer, competing in the 2016 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships last week.

Beyer placed 14th overall with a throw of 52.20 meters. The field was tremendous, featuring several athletes that qualified for the NCAA Championships First Round. Hudson Keffer of Arizona State earned the victory with a throw of 70.05 meters, surpassing the World Junior Championships standard of 68.70 meters.

Beyer was tremendous in his first season with the Vandals, earning ninth at the Big Sky Championships in the javelin.
