FARMINGTON, Utah -- Francisco Bascon has been named Big Sky Men's Tennis Player of the Week after combining for six wins in three matches over the weekend. Bascon helped the Vandals earn victories over North Dakota (5-2), Lewis-Clark State College (7-0), and Whitworth (7-0).
The 2021 Big Sky MVP and two-time Big Sky first-teamer collected his first weekly honor of the 2023 season and the fifth of his career.
Bascon opened the weekend against North Dakota with a 7-5 win with partner Matteo Masala in doubles action before posting a come-from-behind result in singles play.
