Junior running back Aaron Duckworth had a strong start to his season Thursday against Montana State. Duckworth set a new career-best by covering 108 yards. In addition to his yardage, the running back scored two touchdowns for the Vandals’ 20-17 victory.
In Idaho’s game against Saint Mary’s Sunday, it was senior goalkeeper Torell Stewart’s performance that helped Idaho tie the game. Her eight saves helped her earn all-tournament honors.
“(Stewart) made two or three big saves to keep Saint Mary’s at bay and keep them scoreless,” Idaho head coach Derek Pittman said in a press release.
