Hull City sporting director Jared Dublin believes the turmoil at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday has played a role in the English Football League's decision not to fully overturn the Tigers' transfer sanctions.
Hull were initially given a three-window transfer fee restriction after missing payments for loan players but saw that sanction reduced to two, with the third window suspended, after an appeal.
"I believe the circumstances around Sheffield Wednesday played a part," Dublin told BBC Radio Humberside.
"Whether that's conscious, subconscious, or as a larger concern within regards to ownership within the Championship specifically.
