Wasteful Hernandez, listless Markovic let Hull down in 4-1 loss at Fulham

A season that was being fought on three fronts is now down to just one after Hull City exited the FA Cup within three days of losing their EFL Cup semifinal to Manchester United. That was a manful and bold demise, but a 4-1 loss at Fulham was quite the opposite.

Marco Silva's men were given the runaround by an enterprising host, who were fully deserving of their place in the fifth round. Although Evandro cancelled out Sone Aluko's opener, three unanswered goals saw the Cottagers race clear of a tired opponent in the second half.

Positives

The only thing possibly cheering up Silva on the journey home from the capital was the reality that Hull City will face no more demands in cup competitions.
