Thomas Mayer To Miss Remainder Of Season

Grant McCann has revealed that Thomas Mayer will miss the remainder of the season after picking up an injury whilst playing for the Under-23s.

Austrian forward Mayer, who joined the Tigers back in September, limped out of Monday’s game against Barnsley with scans later revealing a broken metatarsal.

“Thomas Mayer limped out of the Under-23s’ game on Monday and he will miss the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal which is disappointing news for us and for him,” said McCann.

“Because of the form of Mallik Wilks, Gavin Whyte, Keane Lewis-Potter, Dan Crowley and James Scott, Thomas has found first team game time limited so far.
