KINGSTON UPON HULL, England -- Just when it seemed that the chaos of the relegation battle was clearing, that a gap was emerging between the damned and the saved of the Premier League, Hull City rose up to throw it all back into confusion. Their 2-1 victory over Swansea didn't lift them out of the drop zone, but it did bring them within a point of safety, and within a single win of two other rivals.
This has been an unhappy football club of late, its supporters in open revolt against the owners they once welcomed. But as those fans poured out of the KCOM Stadium and into West Park, there was not a frown to be seen.
