Hull City equalled their heaviest defeat in the Premier League and they could have no complaints after a pathetic showing in Saturday's 6-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth were alarmingly comfortable in securing all three points and Ryan Mason's equaliser for the Tigers in the first half proved to be nothing more than a bump in the road for Eddie Howe's side. Mike Phelan could not have imagined a worst start to his reign as full-time head coach. Embarrassing did not cover a fourth straight loss.

Other than the fact it could have been even more emphatic for Bournemouth, Hull City found no cause for encouragement.
