Mike Phelan wants the Hull manager's job full-time after impressive Premier League start

Mike Phelan is still playing a waiting game at Hull City as he calls on the Premier League’s surprise package to ‘do it properly’ by appointing him as manager.

The caretaker boss has not had talks over his future even after leading Hull to a remarkable start to the season.

They snatched a point at Burnley on Saturday, with Robert Snodgrass’ late free-kick equalising after a Steven Defour piledriver, to add to wins over Leicester City and Swansea City despite being pre-season favourites for relegation.
