Hull City's caretaker-boss Mike Phelan could be appointed the Premier League club's next permanent manager within the next 48 hours.
Phelan confirmed after Saturday's 4-1 home defeat by Arsenal that he plans to sit down with Tigers vice-chairman Ehab Allam on Monday to discuss his contract offer and is hopeful an agreement can be reached quickly.
'My future is a lot brighter, 48 hours ago I was offered some terms. I'd decided to leave it alone until the Arsenal match was out the way. I will now have a little read of it, discuss it with the family and hopefully take this club on,' said Phelan.
