McCann Previews Fleetwood Town Clash

Grant McCann says tonight’s Papa John’s Trophy tie against Fleetwood Town is a good opportunity to get some minutes into some players who need it.

The Tigers’ Head Coach reported two injuries ahead of the match, but feels the squad is in a good place as the men in black and amber prepare to tackle a busy schedule in the upcoming weeks.

“Martin Samuelsen is obviously still injured at the minute,” said McCann. Callum Jones is getting better, but I think the rest of the group is okay.

“It was nice to see Josh Magennis and Callum Elder coming back into the fold against Sunderland after a little lay-off, so we’re looking stronger and a few boys will get some minutes tonight against Fleetwood to try and get back up to speed and we’re looking to get into the next round of the cup.
