McCann Praises Spirit & Resilience

Grant McCann praised the drive, spirit and resilience of his players after seeing his Hull City side come from behind to land a big three points with a 2-1 win against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

Second half goals from Josh Magennis and Keane Lewis-Potter saw the Tigers recover from going a goal down midway through the first half and, whilst McCann admitted that the performance wasn’t the best, he was pleased with the spirit shown by his men.

“It was an important win for us at this stage of the season,” said McCann.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game because Fleetwood have shown a real reaction since Simon Grayson went in there and they play a good style of football.
