McCann Named LMA League One Manager Of The Year

Hull City Head Coach Grant McCann has been named the League Managers’ Association League One Manager of the Year.

The 41-year-old has been recognised after leading the Tigers to promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt as third-tier champions – the club’s first league title in 55 years.

Under McCann’s stewardship, Hull City won 27, drew eight and lost 11 of 46 matches, scoring 80 goals and conceding just 38, accumulating an impressive 89 points.

Records were broken along the way, with the Tigers winning 13 away matches and netting a remarkable 48 goals on the road – the most of any side in England’s top four divisions.
