Luton set to seal signing of ex-West Ham defender Reece Burke after the Hatters saw off competition from four other Championship clubs to bring him in from promoted Hull City

Former West Ham youngster Reece Burke is on the verge of a move to Luton.

Luton are set to beat off competition from a number of their Championship rivals to land centre-back Burke in a free transfer deal.

Bristol City, Cardiff, Millwall and Derby were also keen on the former England youth international who came through at West Ham before joining Hull in 2018.

Reece Burke, who helped Hull City win promotion from League One this season, is set to sign for Championship club Luton Town on a free transfer

The 24 year-old helped Hull secure a return to the Championship by winning League One this season.

But his contract at the KCOM Stadium club expires next month and Hull have been unable to agree terms to take up Burke's option year and extend his stay.
