Leeds United 1-1 Hull City (8-9 on pens): Match Report

Hull City booked their place in the Carabao Cup third round with a penalty shootout victory over Premier League new boys Leeds United.

Mallik Wilks’ deflected fifth-minute strike looked to have won it for the Tigers, only for Ezgjan Alioski to equalise in the third minute of added time.

But City held their nerve to win the subsequent shootout 9-8, with Alfie Jones netting the decisive spot-kick.

It was no less then Grant McCann’s men deserved after a dominant display and they will now travel to West Ham United in round three next Tuesday.
