Hull City are launching a transfer bid for Reading right-back Chris Gunter as the club look to secure a first summer signing, but face competition from Derby County.
Gunter is the subject of interest after his exploits for Wales at Euro 2016 with Celtic and Crystal Palace also registering enquiries.
The 27-year-old is understood to have a release clause of £1.2million in his contract, which has a year left to run, and looks likely to move on after four years at the Championship side.
Gunter produced his best form for his country in France as Chris Coleman's team reached the semi-finals and is set to add to his 72 caps during the opening World Cup qualifier against Moldova next month.
