Hull City on the cusp of completing Chinese takeover as vice-chairman Ehab Allam confirms Manchester United could be his last home game

Hull City confirmed their proposed Chinese takeover should be ratified before they next play at home.

Vice-chairman Ehab Allam addressed supporters in the programme, revealing his family are at an ‘advanced stage’ in selling up. The deal will take the number of top-flight foreign investors to 13.

That comes amid a backdrop of supporter unrest, a maligned membership scheme, Steve Bruce’s sudden summer resignation and a chronic lack of first-team players.
