Sam Baldock scored a debut goal to give Derby County their first Championship victory of the season with a slender win at Hull City.
Baldock, who only joined Derby on Tuesday, was on hand from close range in the 57th minute after Matt Ingram had fumbled Lee Buchanan's initial effort.
Victory was a fine way to bounce back for Wayne Rooney's Rams after they conceded goals in the 91st and 100th minutes to lose at Peterborough on Saturday.
For Hull, it was a second defeat at the MKM Stadium in four days following a 3-0 thumping by QPR.
