Hull caretaker boss Mike Phelan has beaten off competition from Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho to win the manager of the month award for August.
Phelan steered the promoted team to two wins from their opening three games despite not even being given the permanent reins of the club.
Hull defeated Premier League champions Leicester before beating Swansea 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
Phelan's side almost claimed a point against Manchester United however Marcus Rashford scored in injury time to end Hull's unbeaten start to the season.
