Hull 2-2 Everton: Ross Barkley hits late equaliser to deny Tigers crucial win

Hull City missed their chance to move off the bottom of the Premier League after drawing with Everton at the KCOM Stadium on Friday night.

Robert Snodgrass looked to have secured all three points for the Tigers with a fine second half free-kick before Ross Barkley’s late header ensured the Toffees came away with a point.

Michael Dawson gave the hosts a sixth minute lead before Everton levelled on the stroke of half time, following a defensive mix-up between goalkeeper David Marshall and striker Dieumerci Mbokani.

The result guarantees Mike Phelan’s side will enter the New Year on the bottom of the table while Everton sit nine points off a Europa League qualifying position.
