George Honeyman will miss Hull City’s final game of the season at Charlton Athletic on Sunday with an ankle problem.
Head Coach Grant McCann has revealed that the influential midfielder has been playing through the pain barrier in the last couple of games and says that now is the time to give him the rest that he needs.
“Everybody that played last weekend is fine apart from George Honeyman who will miss the game on Sunday,” said McCann.
“George has been playing with an ankle problem and we don’t feel it’s worth the risk for Sunday.
