Andy Dawson has said there’s room for improvement after the Under-23’s suffered a 2-0 defeat against Wigan Athletic.
Goals in each half from Adam Long and Alex Perry condemned the Tigers to defeat in the Professional Development League.
On the defeat…
“I thought we weren’t clinical enough in the final third. I thought Wigan were and credit to them and it’s a fantastic finish from Alex Perry for their second. We had opportunities with a couple of one-v-ones and we’ve also had one cleared off the line, but that’s part of the game.
“Sometimes if you’re not playing great when you’re attacking and it’s not quite going for you, you try and not concede goals and we’ve conceded two poor goals from two set-pieces.
