Deshaun Watson still has 22 civil lawsuits filed against him that include allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual assault during massage sessions. Eight of the women who filed civil suits also filed police reports.
Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the women, has been eager to sit the Texans quarterback down for depositions in each of the cases, but Rusty Hardin, Watson’s attorney, has argued that his client shouldn’t be deposed until it’s been decided if Watson will face criminal charges.
On Monday, Hardin sought to delay Watson’s impending depositions by saying that the Harris Court District Attorney’s Office expects to make a decision on possible criminal charges by April 1.
