Multiple teams offered the Texans packages that included three first-round picks and two third-round picks in exchange for Deshaun Watson, according to NFL.com's Tom Pelissero. However, those packages were contingent on some sort of resolution on the 22 civil lawsuits filed against the quarterback that include allegations of sexual assault during massage sessions. Rusty Hardin, Watson's attorney, says any sexual encounters during the sessions were consensual.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the 22 women who filed the lawsuits, said last week that Watson's team tried to settle those cases before last Tuesday's trade deadline.
