What Dolphins' firing of Brian Flores means for potential Deshaun Watson trade

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who reportedly was close to agreeing to a deal for Watson before November's trade deadline, was asked at Monday's press conference if he still intended to purse Watson in a trade this offseason even with Flores gone. Ross said he'll leave that up to his next head coach.

"I have no plans. It will be up to the head coach in what he does with the quarterback," Ross said. "It will depend on the next head coach and the direction he wants to take."

If Watson's thought process is no longer Miami-or-bust, that opens the door for other possible interested parties like the Panthers, Broncos and Saints, among others.
