Just two years after investing in an English soccer team that was bound for the Premier League, J.J. and Kealia Watt find themselves back in familiar territory.
On Monday, Burnley defeated Sheffield United 2-1 to secure a spot in England's top-flight league for next season. The Watts became minority owners in March 2023, shortly after J.J. announced his retirement from the NFL after 12 seasons with the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals. Kealia, an eight-year veteran of the National Women's Soccer League, retired in 2022 after playing for the Houston Dash and Chicago Red Stars.
