Tony Buzbee enters brotherly war over Houston Texans ownership

Houston Texans owner Cal McNair could face legal action from his brother, Cary, for the second time in two years, according to a letter obtained by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

Tony Buzbee, the Houston attorney representing Cary, issued a letter dated Monday seeking "mediation from Commissioner Roger Goodell," regarding an alleged illegal ousting of Cary McNair from the Texans and other McNair family businesses. Should Goodell, the NFL and the Texans not agree to mediation, Buzbee noted Cary McNair is willing to "proceed in court."

Cary and Cal McNair last squared off in a Houston courtroom in February 2024 before Cary dropped a lawsuit regarding guardianship of their mother, Janice McNair.
