In his first game against his former team, Zach Cunningham was a team captain when the Titans played the Texans on Sunday at NRG Stadium.
The move was likely a bit of a troll job by Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who was a Texans assistant for four seasons before getting the Titans job. The Titans claimed Cunningham, who was joined at midfield by co-captain safety Kevin Byard for the pregame coin toss, off waivers Dec. 9 after the Texans let him go due to disciplinary issues.
The 27-year-old Cunningham has since started four games for the Titans.
