Texas' coach says White House trip for Brock Osweiler would have been OK

Coach Bill O'Brien wouldn't have held it against quarterback Brock Osweiler if he had elected to join his former Denver teammates at the White House today rather than participate in the Texans' OTA.

"That's a decision he made," O'Brien said. "It's a voluntary camp. Those decisions are up to the players.

"The approach we take is we're ready to coach guys who are here. We don't lose any sleep over guys who aren't here because it's voluntary."

The only part of the offseason program that's mandatory is next week's three-day minicamp.
