Texans visit flood shelter, offering support, supplies to displaced locals

HOUSTON -- As Kim Wilson worked through the line of assembled Houston Texans on Wednesday afternoon, she collected gifts. She asked for defensive tackle Christian Covington's Texans jacket, and he gave it to her. When she reached J.J. Watt, she asked for his hat. He promised she'd get it before he left, and Wilson didn't forget.

She'd been at this temporary Red Cross shelter for two days. On Monday, after a night of torrential rain, Wilson found water seeping under the door of her apartment. She said when she opened it, the flood water rushed into her home, filling it up to her hip and destroying most of her possessions.
