According to Howard Balzer, the Texans hosted eight free agents for tryouts on Tuesday including S Ed Reynolds.
The full list of tryouts for the Texans includes:

- RB Troymaine Pope
- S Marcus Cromartie
- S Charlie Miller
- S Ed Reynolds
- S Andrew Williamson
- LB Josh Forrest
- LB Michael Mauti
The Texans elected to sign Cromartie to a contract Tuesday night.
