The Texans signed cornerback and special teams contributor Cornell Armstrong to a two-year contract, according to his agent, Brett Tessler.

Armstrong (6-0, 185 pounds) was cut by the Miami Dolphins on Saturday after they drafted him in the sixth round last year. He recorded eight tackles in 15 games as a rookie last season.
Armstrong played collegiately at Southern Mississippi.
