The Texans had an extremely limited pass rush in the first game of the season.
During a loss to the New Orleans Saints, outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus recorded the only sack for the Texans on quarterback Drew Brees.
Texans rookie Charles Omenihu, a former fifth-round draft pick from Texas and the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, was a healthy scratch.
"Charles has done a good job," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He was inactive last week. We just felt like a couple of guys were a little bit ahead of him. He's had a good week here, good couple of days.
