Texans safety Lonnie Ballentine eyes return by training camp

BROOKSHIRE - Texans safety Lonnie Ballentine is on the mend from a major knee injury suffered last season, progressing quickly enough that he's hopeful of being ready by training camp.

Ballentine spent last season on injured reserve after getting hurt against the Jacksonville Jaguars, dislocating his left knee and also tearing his medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments.

"I'm doing great, man," Ballentine said. "Rehab is going well. I'm striving to be the best I can be and do what I can do. I should be ready come training camp."
