Texans rookie Charles Omenihu fined for illegal block

Texans defensive end Charles Omenihu has been fined by the NFL for an illegal blindside block during the team's victory over the Buccaneers last Saturday.

It's a $28,075 fine for a first offense, according to the NFL fine schedule for this type of rule infraction. The rookie from Texas plans to appeal the league punishment.

The penalty nullified a touchdown by safety Justin Reid on his interception return in the first quarter.
