Texans re-sign Kenny Hilliard to practice squad

The Texans re-signed running back Kenny Hilliard on Tuesday to their practice squad.

Hilliard was one of the Texans' final roster cuts and spent his entire rookie season last year on the practice squad.

Drafted by the Texans in the seventh round out of LSU last year, Hilliard is a physical runner who upgraded his conditioning and speed during the offseason and got noticeably leaner.

Hilliard, 25, is the nephew of former New Orleans Saints running back Dalton Hilliard.

He was an All-Southeastern Conference freshman selection at LSU.

Since being cut by the Texans, Hilliard tried out for the Seattle Seahawks.
