The Texans have re-signed cornerback Cornell Armstrong to the practice squad, according to his agent, Brett Tessler.
Armstrong was cut by the Texans on Monday when they promoted quarterback Alex McGough to the active roster from the practice squad.
McCough was drawing interest from the Jaguars who wanted to sign him after placing quarterback Nick Foles on injured reserve.
"Despite interest elsewhere, CB Cornell Armstrong is signing to the Houston Texans practice squad after they had to release him yesterday to keep their p-squad QB from signing w/Jacksonville," Tessler wrote on social media. "He should be back on a roster soon.
