McGough was released from the 53-man roster this week when the Texans signed offensive tackle Dan Skipper off of the New England Patriots' practice squad.

An Alief Taylor graduate, Brown is an undrafted rookie from Texas State who was previously with the Los Angeles Rams.

McGough played at Florida International. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Seattle Seahawks and spent last year on their practice squad where he was coached by Texans quarterbacks coach Carl Smith.
