Texans quarterback T.J. Yates is being evaluated under the NFL concussion protocol after being sacked for the fourth time Monday by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Yates was replaced by backup Taylor Heinicke.
Yates left the field and was immediately checked out by doctors, trainers and neurologists under the blue medical tent on the sideline.
He walked off the field at halftime after being replaced by Heinicke.
Heinicke is the fourth quarterback to play for the Texans this year after previous season-ending injuries to Deshaun Watson (torn anterior cruciate ligament) and Tom Savage (concussion).
Heinicke is a former Old Dominion dual-threat quarterback who has previous stints with the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings.
