The Texans made it official Monday, placing rookie cornerback Jermaine Kelly on injured reserve.
Kelly was sidelined for the majority of the preseason.
They also announced that they re-signed third quarterback Joe Webb.
Kelly is a 6-1, 195-pound seventh-round draft pick from San Jose State after transferring from Washington. He had 53 tackles, one sack and one interception last season.
