The Texans are promoting wide receiver Steven Mitchell Jr. from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

MItchell played collegiately at USC and has a previous stint with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in one game for the Texans last season, spending the majority of the year on the practice squad.
He was cut after the preseason by the Texans, then signed to their practice squad.
