The Texans have promoted D'Anton Lynn to secondary coach from assistant secondary coach, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Lynn replaces Texans secondary coach Anthony Midget, who was hired as the Tennessee Titans' secondary job, according to NFL sources. The Titans' secondary job became open when Kerry Coombs was hired as defensive coordinator at Ohio State.

Lynn, 30, is the son of Los Angeles Chargers coach Anthony Lynn.
He is a former All-Big Ten Conference honorable-mention defensive back and team captain at Penn State.
