The Texans placed wide receiver Bruce Ellington (hamstring) and inside linebacker Dylan Cole (dislocated wrist) on injured reserve.
They signed former Texas A&M outside linebacker Daeshon Hall to the active roster and promoted offensive tackle David Sharpe from the practice squad.
They re-signed wide receiver Malachi Dupre to the practice squad.
Ellington had caught eight passes for 92 yards and a touchdown before getting hurt Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Ellington caught 29 passes for 330 yards and two touchdown last season for the Texans.
Cole had played in three games this season and recorded nine tackles.
