Texans, offensive coordinator George Godsey part ways

The Texans announced today they have "mutually agreed to part ways" with offensive coordinator George Godsey.

Godsey has been the offensive coordinator for all three seasons under coach Bill O'Brien.

"I'm grateful for the tireless work ethic and contributions George has made to our team over the last three years," O'Brien said in a statement. "I wish him nothing but the best in the future."

With new quarterback Brock Osweiler a huge disappointment and the offense struggling for much of the season, the Texans had one of the worst offenses in the NFL even though they finished 9-7, won the AFC South and beat Oakland in a wild card game before losing to New England on Saturday.
